In 2017, are the Brit Awards irrelevant?

Boring, predictable and ignoring grime.

The 37th Brit Awards, hosted by Dermot O’Leary and Emma Wallis – although hosted in London in 2017 – couldn’t have possibly been less representative of that.

On paper, the nominations looked great – with Kano, Skepta and Stormzy – all quite rightly, up for multiple awards: but bringing none home. You can’t help but wonder what a ‘deserving’ Brit award winner looks like.

Well atleast the judges allowed Skepta to perform… probably hiding in a back room somewhere, determined to ignoring what popular music looks like or just muted every word that came out his mouth anyway.
